PDC investigation principle

PDC is the geotechnical investigation method that evaluates the liquefaction strength by only using the dynamic penetration test with measuring the excess pore water pressure at the blow.

PDC evaluates the liquefaction strength using not only penetration resistance Nd (N value) but also Fc estimated by relations between the residual pore water pressure ratio and fines content(Fc).

Features

PDC can evaluate the heterogeneity of the ground continuously by performing automatic measurement for each blow.
The most effective application range is heterogeneous grounds and / or the soft ground that extends over alluvial lowland.
